Emilio Fonseca is a screenwriter, director, illustrator, animator and academic. Co-founder of WalkieTalkie Films, specialized in independent documentaries and experimental cinema. He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication (UCM) and developed research on Semiotics (UCM), as well as Film and Animation studies at ECAM. After having developed research and graphic works in environmental and international cooperation projects, he produced ‘Burning the Wildlands’, a documentary with TV Galicia on wildland fires. Together with Xiana do Teixeiro, he produced and co-directed the works ‘We Are Plague’ (2017) and ‘I Am Wall’ (2018) for the CCCB, as well as the TV doc series ‘Tallers Sonors’ (2008-11). Author of comicbook ‘Fóra de Mapa’ (2017, Castelao Comic Book Prize) and ‘Verde Invisible’ (2016, Chaco Ra’anga int. cooperation project).
