Just Girls brings to the screen an unpublished archive of intimate diaries, written in solitude by dozens of teenage girls. An underground collective autobiography emerges, in contradiction with the portrayals of women's youth found in the family album, home videos, and even the memories of the authors themselves. This film is a filmed book, an archive, a manifesto, and a secret.
